Who we are

This site is operated by Mamalyha Inc., doing business as MP. Cars Rent, based in Los Angeles, California. When this policy says “we” or “us,” that’s who we mean.

We’re a small independent car-rental operator. All bookings run through Turo, a separate company with its own privacy policy.

What we collect

When you contact us directly through this site or by phone or email, we collect what you give us:

• Your name, email, and (optionally) phone number from the inquiry form on the Contact page
• Trip details you share — pickup location, dates, what you’re driving for
• The content of any emails, calls, or texts you send us

When you visit the site, we collect basic technical information automatically — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location. We use this to keep the site running and understand which pages are useful.

Bookings on Turo

We don’t take bookings on this site.When you click “Book on Turo,” you leave for Turo’s website or app — and from that point, your driver’s license, ID verification, payment details, and rental contract are handled by Turo under their privacy policy.

As the host, Turo shares limited information with us about confirmed bookings: your first name, your trip dates, and a way to message you through the Turo app. We don’t see your full ID, your card, or your home address.

How we use it

We use the information you give us to:

• Reply to your question or confirm a pickup
• Recommend a car or location that fits your trip
• Coordinate handoffs, extensions, and returns
• Keep records of conversations in case there’s a dispute
• Improve the site (rough analytics, no individual tracking)

We don’t sell your information. We don’t run ad-retargeting on this site.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum needed to run the business:

• Turo — for the booking, ID verification, insurance, and dispute resolution
• Email and phone providers — to actually deliver the messages you send and we send back
• Hosting and analytics providers — to keep the site online and understand traffic
• Law enforcement or insurance — only if required by law, or in the event of an accident, theft, or fraud claim

That’s the list. No marketing partners, no data brokers.

How long we keep it

Inquiry-form messages and email threads: up to 3 years, then deleted. Booking-related records (linked to a confirmed Turo trip): up to 7 years, to match tax and insurance retention requirements. Site analytics: up to 26 months in aggregate.

Your choices

You can email info@mpcarsrent.com at any time to:

• Ask what we have on you
• Correct anything that’s wrong
• Have your inquiry-form messages deleted

If you’re a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA — including the right to opt out of any “sale” of your information (which we don’t do anyway). Same email works.

For booking data on Turo’s side, you’ll need to contact Turo directly — that data lives with them.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses minimal cookies — just what’s needed for pages to load correctly and basic analytics so we can see which cars and pages get viewed. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking. Your browser’s “Do Not Track” or cookie controls are respected.

Children

We don’t market to or knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. You have to be at least 21 (with a few exceptions for U.S. military personnel) to rent a car on Turo anyway.

Updates to this policy

We’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top whenever this policy changes. Material changes get a note on the home page for 30 days. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
